I take eLearning very seriously.
Many eLearning projects are delivered through an app, or in a corporate environment.
Many say my voice is very suited for eLearning projects, whether it’s an app for children, delivering compliance training, or instructional videos.
Getting the perfect delivery involves a fair bit of work, and some are surprised at the price I quote. So let’s break this down a bit.
Here are most of the elements that go into delivering the perfect project for you:
- Discussing the project, reading requirements and reading the script to understand the complexity.
- Recording in the studio – ensuring the delivery is perfect before I consider it done.
- Audio cleaning – removing any background noise, removing all mouth clicks and pops.
- Every part of the audio is listened to and examined, and many parts are replayed several times, to remove all unwanted artifacts.
- Listening to the full audio to ensure the script was recorded correctly, and that the end result is exactly as you desire.
- Sometimes clients wish to make some changes – this would require a new round in the studio and full audio cleaning.
The longest part of this process is audio cleaning. Clicks and pops occur by the tongue hitting the teeth or top of the mouth, and lips smacking together. It’s a fact of life for recording artists as we use high-end microphones that are sensitive to every nuance and sound.
There are only two ways to combat this – having a strong audio cleaning process, or use a cheap microphone. And with a cheap microphone, the end result would deliver a poor result for you.
With an extensive process like this, the time spent on a recording will be anything from 5 to 10 times as long as the recording itself.

For urgent projects, please discuss further with me. Extra charges apply for rush projects depending on your requirements.
The fee includes recording the voiceover and full cleaning including removing any noise, mouth clicks and artifacts, for scripts received on one business day.
If scripts are received on different business days then they will be counted as new scripts with the word count reset to zero.
The fee does not include re-recording due to changes in the script, instructions or intonation.
For instance, if you request a fast and friendly tone, but then decide you want a slow and formal tone, or a different intonation, then this would be deemed a new recording.
A round of such changes would be charged at the word rate specified above, with a minimum fee of $100.
A round of changes means all changes received for recording on one business day. When changes are received on different days, they count as different rounds.
Note that I may correct minor grammatical mistakes during the recording. A number of clients do not have English as their first language, and I offer this service free of charge.
If you do not wish me to correct minor grammatical mistakes, but rather read the script exactly as written, please state so prior to the start of the recording.
I reserve the right to change my rates periodically.
